Russia’s Progress MS-29 cargo spacecraft has left orbit after undocking from the International Space Station (ISS) and its non-combustible debris has fallen in a non-navigable area of the Pacific Ocean, Russian state space corporation Roscosmos informed.
The MS-29 cargo spacecraft, which had been docked to the ISS since November 2024, left the station at 18:43 GMT on Tuesday.
“The cargo spacecraft was deorbited, entered the dense layers of the atmosphere and got destroyed,” Roscosmos said on Telegram, adding that “the unburned structural elements of the ship fell in a non-navigable area of the southern Pacific Ocean.”
In November of last year, the Russian MS-29 cargo spacecraft brought fuel, drinking water, compressed nitrogen, equipment for space experiments and New Year gifts for cosmonauts to the ISS.
On Thursday, Russia will launch the Progress MS-31 cargo spacecraft, which is expected to dock to the ISS on July 6, according to Roscosmos data.
