Tabu has long been a masterclass in understated elegance, and her latest appearance is yet another reminder of why her style stands the test of time. At a recent store launch, the actor stepped out in an exquisite ivory lehenga set that perfectly balanced classic craftsmanship with quiet luxury. Known for her refined choices, Tabu once again proved that when tradition is infused with meaning and detail, the result can be nothing short of breathtaking.
For her latest outing, Tabu opted for a hand-crafted lehenga set by Aamra by Lavanya, priced at Rs 52,000, that drew heavily from the rich heritage of Kalamkari art. The highlight of the ensemble was the dupatta, which was a work of art in itself. Aptly titled “Birds Outside Cages,” the piece was more than just an accessory. Crafted from silk and Banarasi chanderi silk, and hand-painted using pen Kalamkari techniques in earthy hues, the dupatta featured birds mid-flight. The intricate pitta and sequin hand embroidery added just the right amount of shimmer, catching the light with every movement and lending a quiet drama to the overall look.
