At Moscow Forum, Jaishankar Advocates Deeper India-Russia Economic Engagement

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has said that the India-Russia Partnership is experiencing consolidation as well as exploring new domains and opportunities. Speaking at the India-Russia Business Forum in Moscow, he called upon businesses to do more trade, contemplate more investments and joint ventures and open new frontiers of economic cooperation.

Highlighting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, conflicts, political and economic shifts, and trade volatility, he said these have taught the importance of dependable and steady partners. Speaking about the Terms of Reference for the India-Eurasian Economic Union FTA, Dr Jaishankar said that discussions are being held on motivating joint ventures in key areas, improving connectivity and trade settlements.
