The actor, known for her confident approach to red-carpet dressing, embraced full-fledged festive elegance in a hand-embroidered wine saree by Tarun Tahiliani – a look that radiates both heritage and high fashion.
Styled by Manisha Melwani, Bhumi Pednekar’s ensemble celebrated the drama of craftsmanship. The silk saree glowed in a rich wine tone, its surface intricately hand-worked with zardozi, resham, and metallic thread embroidery. Every inch of the drape spoke of texture and tradition, catching light through dense embellishments that shimmered without overwhelming.
Tarun Tahiliani’s interpretation of Indian craft found new life in this piece – particularly through the borders, which drew inspiration from Bidri, the centuries-old metal inlay art form from Karnataka. The antique gold and rose embroidery created an effect that was both architectural and fluid, translating Bidri’s contrast of matte and shine into threadwork. The pallu, meanwhile, dazzled with sequinned lattice patterns and jewel-toned flourishes, while the matching blouse, which was also heavily beaded and structured, anchored the ensemble in modern glamour.
