Saudi Arabia has said that the US Embassy in capital Riyadh came under attack from two drones which caused a limited fire and minor damage. According to local officials, loud explosions were heard and clouds of smoke seen in the city’s diplomatic quarter, home to foreign embassies and residences of foreign diplomats. The blasts were heard as Iran pressed its campaign targeting Gulf states including Saudi Arabia with waves of missile and drone attacks in response to US and Israeli airstrikes.
