Ivory couture carries a certain serenity by blending restraint with richness. At the Global Peace Honours 2025 in Mumbai, Nita Ambani embodied that balance flawlessly. The evening, hosted by the Divyaj Foundation and Amruta Fadnavis, saw the Ambani women (Nita Ambani, Shloka Mehta, and Radhika Merchant) appear in coordinated ivory ensembles, but it was Nita Ambani who delivered the most striking interpretation of the palette: a lesson in grace crafted through artisanal mastery.
A Custom Ivory Creation Rooted In Handwork
Nita Ambani chose a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree. The designer duo is celebrated for reviving Indian craftsmanship with contemporary precision. Her look came alive in the creamiest off-white georgette – soft, fluid, and built to glide with her movements. The six-yard drape was meticulously embroidered in resham zardozi phulwari motifs, creating a floral rhythm across the fabric. Adding architectural contrast, a geometric chevron border, edged delicately with pearls, framed the sari and elevated it into couture territory.
