Baloch armed groups have launched a series of coordinated attacks across #Balochistan, targeting #PakistaniMilitary personnel, infrastructure, and collaborators. The #BalochLiberationArmy (BLA) and the #BalochistanLiberationFront (BLF) have claimed responsibility for these actions, asserting significant damage to state forces.
The BLA, through its spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, stated that operatives conducted nine attacks in regions such as #Dasht, #Zamuran, #Quetta, #Mashkay, #Panjgur, #Kalat, and #Tump. The targets included military convoys, gas pipelines, railway tracks, and vehicles linked to #MineralExtraction.
One of the major operations in #Dasht, #KechDistrict, involved a remote-controlled IED attack on a military convoy escorting foreign tourists on a hunting expedition. The BLA claimed the attack resulted in the deaths of three soldiers, with four others injured. The group warned foreign tourists against hunting #EndangeredWildlife in #ConflictZones, vowing stricter measures if such activities persisted. The BLA identified the fallen soldiers as Naik Zaman and Lance Naik Umar Zahoor, with Naik Naeem and others sustaining injuries.
Additional BLA operations included an attack in #Zamuran that killed two soldiers and injured another. In #Quetta, explosive devices targeted a police vehicle on Kambaran Road and destroyed a railway track near Sariab Road. Gas pipelines on the city’s western bypass were also sabotaged.
In #Mashkay, an IED attack damaged a vehicle belonging to a construction company. In #Panjgur and #Kalat, the BLA reportedly killed two individuals accused of collaborating with Pakistani forces. In #Tump, they attacked three mineral-transport vehicles, sparing the drivers but issuing warnings against mineral extraction.
Separately, the #BLF, represented by spokesperson Major Gahram Baloch, claimed responsibility for an attack on a Pakistani military checkpoint in #Kolwah, Dam Malaar, on December 24, using heavy weaponry. Another operation on December 25 targeted military foot patrols in #Jhao’s Kork area, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and injuries to several others. The group also claimed to have downed a surveillance drone during the assault.
The BLF has accused the #PakistaniMilitary of expanding its control over #Balochistan by establishing camps and checkpoints, which allegedly harass and exploit local residents. Major Gahram Baloch reaffirmed the group’s commitment to fighting military installations until Pakistani forces withdraw entirely from the region.
Both groups paid tribute to their fallen leaders and reiterated their dedication to #Balochistan’s independence. The BLA marked the sixth anniversary of its founder, #GeneralAslamBaloch, honoring his leadership and vision for their struggle. They described him as a symbol of resilience and vowed to continue pursuing his mission for a sovereign Balochistan.
This escalation of attacks highlights the ongoing #BalochInsurgency, with frequent clashes between separatist groups and state forces. The #PakistaniMilitary has yet to respond to these claims, but the situation remains highly volatile as the insurgents intensify their efforts against what they describe as “occupation forces” in the region.
