Chhattisgarh: 9 Maoists surrender in Bastar Division

        In Chhattisgarh, nine Maoists have surrendered in the Bijapur district of the Bastar division. Of these, a reward of 23 lakh rupees was declared for four of the Maoists. These Maoists have surrendered before the senior officers of the CRPF and the police. The Maoists are accused of being involved in many Naxal incidents. Upon surrender, each of these Maoists was given an amount of 25 thousand rupees as an incentive under the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government.
