India Dismisses Pakistan’s Khuzdar Blast Allegations as ‘Attempt to Mislead the World’

Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday (May 21) rejected allegations by Pakistan that New Delhi had a hand in the Khuzdar bomb blast which killed at least six people.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “India rejects the baseless allegations made by Pakistan regarding Indian involvement with the incident in Khuzdar earlier today. India condoles the loss of lives in all such incidents.”

He then added, “However, in order to divert attention from its reputation as the global epicenter of terrorism and to hide its own gross failings, it has become second nature for Pakistan to blame India for all its internal issues. This attempt to hoodwink the world is doomed to fail.”The comment pertains to the devastating suicide bombing that targeted a school bus in Khuzdar, a city in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province.

The incident occurred around 7:40 am local time as the bus was transporting students to an Army Public School. A suicide bomber driving an explosive-laden vehicle rammed into the bus near Khuzdar’s Zero Point area, causing a massive explosion that destroyed the bus and scattered debris across the vicinity.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the bombing, attributing it to “terrorists backed by India”. The Pakistani military echoed these accusations, alleging that Indian intelligence agencies orchestrated the attack through proxy militant groups operating in Balochistan.

No concrete evidence has been presented to support this claim.
