India Values and Reciprocates Trump’s Optimism on Bilateral Relations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says he deeply appreciates and fully reciprocates President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of India-US ties.

Responding to the US President’s recent statements, the Prime Minister said in a social media post that India and the US have a very positive and forward-looking Comprehensive and Global Strategic Partnership.

Mr Trump in remarks to the media in Washington last night, said that India and the United States have a special relationship and there is nothing to worry about the ties between the two countries.

Mr Trump said Mr Modi is a great Prime Minister and he will always be friends with Modi. In an earlier social media post Mr Trump had commented that , that the US had lost India to China.

Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi attaches enormous importance to India’s partnership with the United States.

Talking to media about PM Modi’s response to US President Donald Trump, Dr Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Modi has always had a very good personal equation with President Trump. He added that India remains engaged with the United States.

Dr Jaishankar’s remarks came shortly after Prime Minister Modi responded to President Trump’s affirmation of India-US ties, expressing that he deeply appreciates and fully reciprocates President Trump’s sentiments and positive assessment of both countries.
