In IPL T20 Cricket, Punjab Kings defeated hosts Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 5 wickets in a rain-marred 14-over match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium last night.
Chasing a target of 96 in 14 overs, Punjab reached the score with 11 balls to spare. Put in to bat first, Bengaluru had earlier posted 95 for 9, with Tim David scoring an unbeaten 50 off 26 balls. Nehal Wadhera led Punjab’s chase with 33 off 19 balls.
For Punjab, Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Harpreet Brar took 2 wickets each. On the other hand, Josh Hazlewood claimed 3 wickets for Bengaluru. Tim David was named Player of the Match.
There will be two matches today. Gujarat Titans will face Delhi Capitals in Ahmedabad beginning at 3:30 in the afternoon while Rajasthan Royals will take on Lucknow Super Giants in Jaipur from 7:30 this evening.
