Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation and Planning Rao Inderjit Singh called on Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the Vice-President was briefed on the key initiatives, achievements, and strategic roadmap of NITI Aayog and Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, including the Vision for Viksit Bharat and ongoing efforts to strengthen country’s statistical systems.
Appreciating NITI Aayog’s engagement with Central Ministries and State Governments in strengthening policy frameworks, programme design, and on-ground implementation, Mr Radhakrishnan highlighted flagship programmes such as Aspirational Districts Programme.
The Vice-President also commended the Ministry’s commitment to robust standards and best practices in generating official statistics, emphasising the importance of credible, high-quality, and timely data for effective governance, policy-making, and national development.
