National Flag a Symbol of Unity: Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today emphasized that despite all culture diversities the Indian National Flag stands as a unifier of the country.

Addressing a press conference on the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in New Delhi today, the Minister urged every citizen living in India and abroad to participate in the campaign. He said that different ministries including the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Home Affairs, youth affairs and sports are joining hands and participating in the campaign following the whole of the government approach.

Mr. Shekhawat highlighted that over 5 lakh volunteers from across the nation are taking part in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign. He mentioned that Har Ghar Tiranga is not just a campaign but is an emotional movement that unites 1.4 billion Indians under the timeless colours of National Flag.

The Union Minister further added that the campaign aims to instill patriotism, foster civic pride and spread awareness about the significance of the tricolour as a living symbol of the country’s democracy and independence.

This year marks the 4th edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme. According to the Ministry of Culture, there are several collective endeavours planned this time to mark the campaign. These include the Har Ghar Tiranga Har Ghar Swachhata, Tiranga Quiz, Tiranga Letter Writing, and Tiranga Rakhi Making among others.
