NHAI Launches Lavender Plantation Along Jammu-Srinagar Highway to Boost Aesthetics and Aroma Tourism

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has started a unique initiative of lavender plantation along a 16-kilometre stretch of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway between Banihal and Qazigund.

The step has been taken to enhance aesthetics and promote aroma tourism. Project Director of NHAI Shubham Yadav said the initiative aims to promote beautification along with livelihood generation. He said that, lavender plantation will significantly improve highway aesthetics and boost tourism.
