As the Ambani family welcomed Ganpati Bappa into their home for Ganesh Chaturthi, Radhika Ambani marked the celebration with a heartfelt classical dance performance. Moving gracefully to chants praising Lord Ganesha, she turned the devotional moment into a beautiful union of faith, movement and traditional Indian craftsmanship.
For the occasion, Radhika wore a custom Manish Malhotra creation fashioned from handwoven Kanjeevaram silk in a rich jewel-pink shade. Woven with luminous gold zari, the fabric came alive under the festive lights as she moved across the stage.The ensemble appeared to draw inspiration from classical dance costumes, with the Kanjeevaram silk arranged in a layered, movement-friendly silhouette. A fitted, heavily embroidered blouse was paired with a flared lower drape, while a panel of silk fell gracefully over the shoulder. The structured pleats opened beautifully during her performance, highlighting every turn and dance pose.Adding further richness to the weave were intricate antique-gold marodi embroidery and delicate zardozi highlights. The dense gold detailing along the blouse, borders and pleated panels created a striking contrast against the vibrant pink base without taking attention away from the textile.
