One person has been detained in the stabbing case. He has been brought to Bandra police station for questioning, sources said. Some reports stated that he is the intruder seen in the CCTV footage, and he has now been arrested. However, police officials are yet to confirm the initial information.
The investigation into the burglary attempt at actor Saif Ali Khan’s house in Mumbai’s Bandra West area has seen many twists and turns since Thursday. Now, a report has quoted city police as saying that the quadruplex, where the actor stays with his actor-wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and children Taimur and Jeh, had no surveillance cameras inside or outside. This made it impossible to trace the intruder’s movements.
“There were no personal guards stationed at the entrance or inside the flat to monitor visitors or respond to any emergency. The building society too lacked a register logbook to track individuals entering and exiting the premises,”
In the early hours of Thursday, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times during a burglary attempt. A doctor at the Lilavati Hospital, where Saif Ali Khan underwent a surgery post the attack, told that had the two-and-a-half inch part of the knife, which was removed from his back, had gone even a millimetre further inside, the actor’s life could have been in danger.The actor was stabbed six times by the accused burglar who had broken into his house through an open window and was in the room of his son Jeh.
The actor got into a scuffle with the man who then stabbed him with a sharp knife and seriously injured him in his spine. The doctors removed a 2.5-inch knife which had lodged in his back in the attack
