Hours after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by a robber inside his Mumbai residence, the first photo of the accused is now out. The CCTV video, in which the accused’s face is clearly visible, shows that he was on the staircase of the building at 2:33 am on January 16.
Since the CCTV footage has provided critical leads, the police authorities are confident of apprehending the accused soon.
What Happened At Saif Ali Khan’s House On Wednesday Night?
The person who attacked Saif Ali Khan hid inside the house throughout the night. At around 2 AM, the actor heard noises when one of his female employees was attacked in Jeh’s room. This prompted Saif to intervene, which led to an altercation between the two and the attacker injured both Saif and the female employee.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, revealed that Saif Ali Khan was admitted at 3:30 a.m. after sustaining six injuries inflicted by sharp objects, including two deep wounds. One of these injuries is near his spine, requiring immediate medical attention.
Later, the actor’s team released a statement confirming the attack and revealing that he was undergoing surgery at the hospital. In the statement, the team requested “the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter,” adding that they would keep his fans updated on the situation.
The Bollywood actor is now out of danger but is still hospitalized.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police have intensified their efforts to locate the suspect, forming multiple teams to ensure swift action. During a press conference, officials disclosed that the suspect gained access to the building using the staircase. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also deployed seven specialized teams to assist in solving the case. Authorities have confirmed that a case has been filed at the Bandra Police Station, with the investigation in full swing.
