Single Papa Review: Single Papa sets itself up with a premise that’s equal parts funny and chaotic: Gaurav Gehlot (Kunal Kemmu) wants a baby so badly that he walks out of his marriage when his wife tells him she already has a “man-child” to raise. One wild night later, he literally finds a baby abandoned in a carton in his car and decides this is a sign from the universe. He’s adopting the child — no matter what the system throws at him.
And the system throws a lot. From a stiff adoption officer (Neha Dhupia) to endless paperwork to being judged for every tiny thing, Single Papa shows how tough the process can be for single men. On paper, it’s a rich, layered theme. In execution, though, the show leans almost entirely on comedy.
