Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that India’s digital connectivity journey will not be defined merely by connecting people but by ensuring that the networks are trusted, secure, and resilient.
Addressing the 43rd foundation day of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) in New Delhi today, Mr Scindia lauded C-DOT for its pivotal role in the country’s telecom transformation. Recalling CDOT’s evolution since its establishment in 1984, the Minister said that the organisation began by building indigenous technologies and has today transformed itself into a catalyst for innovation.
He said that the organisation has become deeply embedded in the lives of citizens and remains an integral part of India’s technological journey. The Minister also highlighted the CDOT’s innovations in artificial intelligence, cyber-security and disaster-resilient communication networks. Mr Scindia asserted that India seeks to shape next-gen telecom standards and aims to lead in 6G, AI, quantum communications and cyber security. He expressed confidence that with the contribution of C-DOT, India can now lead the world in 6G
