A children’s caretaker at the residence of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan who suffered a knife attack said in her recorded statement that she first noticed a shadow near the bathroom, sources told News18, referring to the FIR.
Initially, she thought it might be Kareena Kapoor checking on the couple’s younger son. However, the maid grew suspicious and, upon investigating further, was suddenly attacked by a 35-40-year-old unidentified man. The man brandished a sharp weapon and threatened her to remain silent.At the same time, another maid arrived, prompting the intruder to demand Rs 1 crore from them.
Saif Ali Khan, who resides on the 12th floor of the building, also came down during this incident. A scuffle ensued between Saif and the assailant, during which the actor sustained six injuries on different parts of his body. One of the sharp weapons even broke and got lodged in Saif’s body.The family members and staff managed to lock the attacker in another room. Given the severity of Saif’s injuries, the maids and staff called Ibrahim, his elder son.
Ibrahim, and Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, who both live on the 8th floor, rushed upstairs and decided to take their father to the hospital. Since no driver was available at the time and no one in the family could operate their automatic electric vehicle, they quickly hired an autorickshaw to transport Saif to Lilavati Hospital.
