The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at five locations across five states in the Cyber Terrorism Gujarat Case. The agency conducted searches in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi yesterday. The case in this regard was registered in Gujarat last year.
The accused allegedly carried out sophisticated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks against 54 websites of Central Government entities, targeting critical computer resources and Critical Information Infrastructure during the period of Operation Sindoor. The attacks were allegedly intended to undermine national sovereignty, security and unity, as well as to create fear among the public. During the searches, various digital devices and documents containing incriminating material related to hacking activities were seized.
