A Balochistan Awami Party leader and a tribal elder were among 11 people reported killed in separate incidents across Balochistan, according to provincial reporting compiled by Dawn.
The deaths come amid intensified militant violence, targeted attacks and security-force operations across the province. Pakistan’s military recently claimed that 48 suspected militants were killed during operations in Mastung, Sibi, Quetta and Kalat.
The military identified the dead in those operations as members of outlawed organisations and alleged Indian sponsorship without publishing verifiable evidence. India rejects Pakistan’s recurring accusations that it supports militant violence.
Independent verification remains difficult because access to conflict-affected areas is restricted and official statements frequently provide limited information about identities and civilian casualties.
The latest killings require case-by-case criminal investigation rather than being folded into unsupported claims by the state or armed organisations.
