Sonam shared the pictures with the deliciously filmi “Kajra re Kajra re”, but it is the outfit that really deserves a soundtrack. Draped in deep green, gold and a riot of intricate imagery, she looks like someone raided an old-world art gallery and gave the treasures a couture makeover.The outfit comes straight from the shelves of Gaurang Shah, who describes the creation as “Ajanta and Ellora, reimagined through Kalamkari,” and honestly, the phrase barely does justice to the amount of detail packed into this look.The skirt is the star attraction, spilling into a generous, almost regal silhouette covered in intricate figures, florals and scenes inspired by the iconic Ajanta-Ellora paintings. Rich rusts, earthy ochres, mossy greens and warm browns run across the fabric, creating the kind of visual feast that keeps revealing something new the longer you look.
