Bangladesh is seeking to strengthen its aviation sector as the government moves ahead with plans to acquire 10 Airbus aircraft for Biman Bangladesh Airlines, with deliveries targeted before 2030.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat discussed the plan with a Lufthansa delegation led by Rudiger Lotz. The meeting focused on aviation cooperation, air connectivity and the development of Biman.
The minister invited Lufthansa to explore investment opportunities in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities in Bangladesh. Cargo and mail services were also discussed.
