Five people, including two journalists, were injured during a clash as joint law enforcers tried to block a group of protesters from entering Bangabhaban (President’s House) on Tuesday while they were demanding the resignation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin.
The incident took place around 8:20pm when a group of protesters tried to enter the Bangabhaban by breaking the police barricade.
Earlier on In a recent interview with a journalist, President Mohammed Shahabuddin mentioned that he heard Sheikh Hasina resigned from her position as Prime Minister; however, he has no documentary evidence to confirm this, including any resignation letter. He said, “I have failed to obtain the resignation letter despite numerous attempts. Perhaps she did not get the time.”
The president’s statement regarding resignation of Sheikh Hasina invited some criticism from law advisor of the interim government of Bangladesh.

A team of Bangladesh Army took position there to ensure security.
