King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Wangchuk thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for participating in the event stating it will be very bold to say that we love India, India has always stood by Bhutan, and so Bhutan stands with India.
Prime Minister Modi said the King was the one who emphasised growth of a nation can not just be measured by GDP coining the term Gross National Happiness Index, blending economic growth with sustainability.
Prime Minister Modi also announced a contribution of 10,000 Crore in the Five year plan of Bhutan. The Government of India will be providing land in Varanasi for construction of the Royal Bhutanese Temple and guest house.
