Tabu brought modern-day royalty to Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s larger-than-life showcase -A Thousand & One Nights at Art Mumbai.
Turning muse for the celebrated couturiers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, who brought in 40 years of their legacy on the runway, Tabu sashayed down the 360-degree ramp in a monochrome ensemble with silver sequins.Celebrating the art of couture and glamour on the runway, Tabu brought her playful yet fierce aura to the show. Swaying the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla iconic architectural reversible coat like a true runway queen, Tabu looked resplendent in the showstopper look.
The archival masterpiece was reinvented with silver crystal work and thousands of sequins hand-embroidered on a black base, invoking a nocturnal fantasy’s essence, which was the central theme of the show. The coat was paired with a cowl neck short kurta paired with pants. The highlight of this monochrome ensemble was the intricate threadwork that formed the state-of-the-art structures. A collection that was created almost 35 years ago was reinvented to celebrate the brand’s legacy.
