42 crew of Global Sumud Flotilla declare hunger strike in Israeli detention

Forty-two people from the Global Sumud Flotilla vessels intercepted by Israel have announced a hunger strike over the Jewish state’s actions in the Gaza Strip

Among detainees who announced a hunger strike earlier were citizens of Poland and France.

“42 Global Sumud Flotilla volunteers have launched a collective hunger strike inside Israeli prisons,” the flotilla said on X.
On October 1, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli navy had intercepted several Global Sumud Flotilla vessels and was transferring their passengers to an Israeli port.

The following day, the flotilla said that part of its crew, including Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg, had been detained by Israeli forces.
