Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Japan on a two-day visit. On the first day of his visit, PM Modi held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, Nukaga Fukushiro, and a group of Japanese MPs. During this, strong and friendly relations between India and Japan were discussed between them. He shared some pictures related to this meeting on the social media platform X.
“I had an excellent meeting with Speaker Fukushiro Nukaga and a group of Japanese parliamentarians. We discussed the strong and friendly relations between India and Japan. Special focus was given to parliamentary exchanges, human resource development, cultural exchanges and cooperation in key areas such as economy, health, mobility partnership, AI, science and technology,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Tokyo on Friday morning. He started his Japan tour with discussions with business leaders. At the India-Japan Economic Forum, PM Modi expressed his gratitude to Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba. During this, he said that Japan has always been an important partner in India’s development journey. Our partnership in every field from metro to manufacturing, from semiconductors to start-ups is a symbol of mutual trust.
PM Modi had invited Japanese manufacturers to come and work in India. During a program, he said, “I urge all of you to come and let us ‘Make in India, Make for the World.'”
PM Modi told the manufacturers that the success stories of ‘Suzuki’ and ‘Daikin’ can become your success stories too.
In his address, the Prime Minister, referring to technology and innovation, said that Japan is a ‘tech power house’ and India is a ‘talent power house’. He said, “India has taken bold and ambitious initiatives in areas like artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum computing, biotechnology and space research. Japan’s technology and India’s talent together can lead the technological revolution of this century.”
