In Hockey, India reached the semifinals of the 2026 Women’s Junior Asia Cup after thrashing Pakistan 19-0 in Moqi, China, today.
India dominated from the start, scoring five goals in the first quarter, five in the second, three in the third and six in the final quarter. Pooja Malik scored a hat trick, while Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Madhu Sidar, Supriya and Roshni Aind each scored twice. India earned 18 penalty corners and a penalty stroke, while Pakistan failed to score or earn a penalty corner.
Now India will face either South Korea or Malaysia in the semifinal on September 12, with the opponent to be decided by the winner of their quarterfinal match.
