India is showcasing its growing capabilities across the oil and gas value chain at ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi, to attract significant FDI, global technology and expertise while positioning itself as a manufacturing hub for the oil and gas sector under the Make in India initiative.
The four-day event, being held from November 2 to 5 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, has brought together governments, global energy companies, investors and technology providers from across the world. The 2026 edition features more than 2,250 exhibitors.
India has a strong presence at the event through its national pavilion, organised with the participation of the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Chamber of Commerce. The pavilion brings together public and private sector companies showcasing India’s expertise in upstream, midstream and downstream operations, indigenous technologies, engineering and emerging energy solutions.
The various sections of the India Pavilion were inaugurated by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Deepak Mittal. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Neeraj Mittal highlighted two key initiatives – Samudra Manthan, India’s deepwater exploration initiative, and the promotion of compressed biogas production from agricultural and organic waste under the country’s Waste-to-Wealth programme. He said India’s participation at ADIPEC aims to strengthen partnerships with international energy companies and attract foreign investment, advanced technologies and global expertise.
