India’s Got Latent Controversy: The Supreme Court on Tuesday restricted YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, ‘India’s Got Latent’ show host Samay Raina and Apoorva Mukhija from airing any show till further orders.
The apex court’s order came as it heard a plea by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia to club FIRs filed against him across various states, including in Maharashtra and Assam
The SC directed that no further FIRs shall be lodged against Allahbadia for his controversial remarks made during the roast show.
The top court also imposed some restrictions on the podcaster, directing him deposit his passport at Thane police station. As per court order, Allahbadia is not allowed to travel abroad without court’s prior nod.
