Ananya Panday just gave the Indian saree a powerful twist! Making a sparkling statement at the Lakmē x AK|OK Anamika Khanna opening show, Ananya Panday channelled her inner warrior princess in a statement piece from AK|OK Anamika Khanna’s Silver Collar collection.
Styled in an array of silver jewellery and accessories, Ananya exuded power and poise as celebrated the AK|OK’s interpretation of the Indian saree. The showstopper look featured blue silk pants with intricate silver embroidery. The highlight of the ensemble was the embellished blouse crafted in silver jewellery and accessories. The silver metal chains were creatively draped as a saree pallu to give it an Indian look. “We wanted the look to be very powerful and feminine that’s what AK|OK stands for. So, overall the look was very strong,” expresses Vishesh Khanna, who also played a major role in curating the music for the showcase, which was performed by the uber talented drummer and DJ, Lis Viegas. The high energy performance blended perfectly with the 45-46 creations which were styled to perfection by celebrity stylist Anna Trevelyan.
