At the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival, an evening that marked her receiving the inaugural Golden Globe Horizon Award, Alia Bhatt stepped into a new fashion chapter, one rooted in intention rather than excess. The energy on the carpet felt anticipatory, almost ceremonial, and Alia’s look captured exactly that: a couture moment anchored in clarity, craftsmanship, and quiet power.
A Modern Classic: The Elie Saab Look That Defined the Night
For the ceremony, Alia Bhatt chose Look 9 from Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025–26, a gown that distilled the house’s signature movement and structure into something deeply contemporary. Cut in amber silk chiffon, the strapless gown featured a draped sweetheart neckline that sat fluidly against the body – sensual without theatrics.
The floral print, rendered in layered tones and illuminated with tone-on-tone sequins, brought a painterly quality to the fabric. Rather than overwhelming the silhouette, the embellishment worked like light on water: present, but never loud. A blush-pink feather stole, weightless and feathery against the chiffon, introduced softness and contrast while maintaining the gown’s architectural intention.
One of the most striking design elements was the long sheer panel trailing from one side. It added subtle volume and a sense of motion, almost like a ribbon of air, ensuring the silhouette remained dynamic as she walked the carpet. In a year dominated by maximalist theatrics, this was couture turned elegant restraint – crafted, not crowded.
