Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated several development projects worth about Rs 2200 crore in Varanasi. These projects are related to many sectors including infrastructure, education, healthcare, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage. The Prime Minister also released the 20th installment under the ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme for more than 9.7 crore farmers across the country on Saturday.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the event held in Varanasi. On this occasion, the Chief Minister presented a souvenir of ‘Shivling’ to Prime Minister Modi. Apart from Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, many cabinet ministers and public representatives were present in the program.
Praising the Prime Minister, CM Yogi said that he is the most popular leader in the world. The Chief Minister said, “You must have seen that in the last 11 years, more than four dozen countries have honored the Prime Minister with their highest civilian honors. The whole world acknowledges his farsightedness towards public welfare and world interest.” The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the vision to take New India forward. It is a good fortune that he represents Kashi in the country’s Parliament. The Prime Minister has arrived here on Saturday to gift projects worth Rs 2200 crore to Kashi.
CM Yogi said, “This is the first time that a Prime Minister has appeared in his constituency for the 51st time. In Varanasi, projects worth Rs 51 thousand crores were approved in 11 years, out of which projects worth Rs 34 thousand crores have been inaugurated. He is working to take Kashi forward and get it recognition. Projects worth more than Rs 16 thousand crores are in progress.”
