Simran Singh, a popular Instagram influencer and freelance radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir, tragically passed away by suicide in her Gurugram apartment. Known to her fans as RJ Simran, the 25-year-old had amassed nearly seven lakh followers on Instagram.
Her body was discovered in her rented apartment in Gurugram’s Sector 47 after a friend staying with her alerted the police. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. According to the police, no suicide note was found, and her family has not filed any formal complaint. They mentioned that Simran had been upset for some time, which may have led to the tragic incident, but they did not hold anyone responsible.
Simran’s last post on Instagram was a reel shared on December 13, where she wrote, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach.” She was affectionately known by her fans as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan” (Heartbeat of Jammu), and her sudden death has left many of her followers devastated.
Simran’s body was handed over to her family for final rites, and the investigation is ongoing.
