Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday lashed out at the Aam Aadmi Party in the run-up to the Assembly elections and said that the “mask of the AAPda party” is off now.
He said that February 5 will bring a change in Delhi and a double-engine government will be formed in the city on February 8 when the results are out.
“Weather begins to change with Basant Panchami. A new Basant (spring) of development will come on February 5. This time, the BJP government will be formed. Delhi’s AAPda party has wasted 11 years of Delhi. I pray to every family in the city that please give us a chance to serve you and I give you my guarantee, I will go to any lengths to resolve all your problems. The life of every family will be happy, and such a double-engine government will be formed in Delhi. BJP’s victory is certain,” PM Modi said at an election rally in RK Puram.
“AAPda leaders are leaving them. They know how much people hate AAPda now. The party is so scared that they are making new announcements every hour. The mask of AAPda is off now,” he added.
PM Modi also took a potshot at Congress and said that the party will never be able to do away with the stains of the Commonwealth scam.
“The stains of the Commonwealth scam are so deep that Congress will never be able to free itself from this issue,” he said.
The Prime Minister announced that no ongoing public welfare schemes will be stopped if the BJP forms government in Delhi.
“AAPda party is spreading rumours. Not a single slum will be demolished in Delhi. No public welfare schemes will be stopped,” he said.
PM Modi On Budget 2025
The Prime Minister explained the benefits of the Budget 2025 which was presented on Saturday in Lok Sabha and said that now the middle class will have more money remaining in their hands. He termed the Budget the “most friendly for the middle class” in the history of India.
“Every single family in the country is happy today, after this budget. People’s earnings have also increased. In the past, your earnings would have been taken away, but now the government is focused on the welfare of all. Income tax has been completely waived for earnings up to 12 lakh. The middle class will see an increase in their savings. Such a concession has never been given since independence. Budget 2025 is the most friendly budget for the middle class in the history of India,” PM Modi said.
“If we look at this budget — if you were earning Rs 12 lakh during Nehru Ji’s time, one-fourth of your salary would have gone as tax. If Indira Ji’s government was in power, 10 lakh out of every 12 lakh would have gone as tax. Until 10-12 years ago, under the Congress government, if you earned 12 lakh, you would have to pay 2 lakh 60 thousand rupees in taxes. But after yesterday’s budget of the BJP government, those earning Rs 12 lakh annually will not have to pay a single rupee in tax,” he explained.
Delhi will go to Assembly polls on February 5 and the counting of votes will take place on February 8.
