Fresh Batch of 2,300 Pilgrims Leaves Jammu for Amarnath Yatra Amid Heavy Security

The fresh batch of over 2300 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu early this morning amid tight security to offer prayers at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in Kashmir.

The group departed in a convoy of 92 vehicles. The batch comprises 1,890 men, 377 women, six children, 46 sadhus, and five sadhvis. Of them, 741 pilgrims left for the Baltal base camp at 3:25 AM, while 1,583 headed towards the Pahalgam base camp at 3:45 AM, from where they will continue their onward journey to the holy shrine.
