A horrifying case of ragging came to light from a nursing college in Kerala’s Kottayam region where first-year students were forced to strip naked and dumbbells were allegedly hung from their private parts.
Five students have been arrested for ragging juniors so far.
The incident came to light after students lodged a complaint with the police about the incident.According to the police, the group had been harassing first-year nursing students in the name of ragging since November 2024
Three students lodged the complaint with the police after they were unable to bear the torture any more.The accused reportedly tortured the students with stationery items like compasses.
The college has suspended all five accused students.
