MoS Jitendra Singh Highlights India’s Science & Tech Progress at CSIR Start-up Conclave in Lucknow

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said that country is making new records in the field of science and technology. Mr. Singh along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the closing ceremony of CSIR Start-up Conclave 2025 in Lucknow. Dr. Singh said on the occasion that just like Hyderabad and cities of South India have developed in terms of startups, similar potential exists in Lucknow as well.

The Minister inaugurated the first-of-its-kind ‘Swastik’ LotusGarden – in the premises of one of India’s oldest and one of the most historic Botanical Gardens in Lucknow. It  features over 60 lotus varieties from all over the world, including ‘Namoh 108’. The Lotus Garden not only promises to offer new opportunities for farmers, StartUps and entrepreneurs, but also holds potential of becoming an innovation driven tourism destination.

The two-day conclave was held from Sunday to Monday to promote indigenous technologies, start-ups. Scientists, innovators, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers attended the event, centred on the theme ‘Translating R&D into Start-ups: Innovation for Agriculture, Environment & Health for industries and society’.​
