The Rupee on Thursday registered a huge gains of 20 paise to close at 87.00 against the US Dollar on selling of USD by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
Registering a flat note on Wednesday, the domestic unit opened strong at 87.08 in early trade, it was advanced further and finished at 87.00, up 20 paise as compared to its last close.
The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 86.96 and 87.14 respectively, dealer added.
