Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated the newly built ‘Brahmaputra Wing’ of Assam Raj Bhavan in Guwahati amid chanting of Vedic mantras. Built at a cost of Rs 41 crore, this building has been provided with state-of-the-art facilities in the beautiful surroundings of the Brahmaputra River.
These facilities will be available in this complex
This newly built complex has facilities like Governor’s Office, Additional Commissioner’s Office, Conference Room, Waiting Room, Library, Governor’s Suite and Presidential Suite. On this occasion, Assam Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya, former Governor of Assam and current Governor of Punjab Gulab Chand Kataria, former Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, Minister in Assam Government Ranjit Kumar Das, Chief Secretary of the state Ravi Kota and many senior officials were present.
Before the inauguration, Amit Shah performed cow worship and also planted a sapling in the Raj Bhavan premises. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, senior minister Ranjit Das and other leaders were present with him.
Many other projects were also inaugurated
Several other projects under the Home Ministry were also inaugurated by the Home Minister, including National Cyber Forensic Laboratory at Lachit Barphukan Police Academy, Dergaon, modern housing project with healthcare facilities for SSB families at Guwahati, 360 Jawan Barracks, Mess and 10 Bed Hospital for 33rd Battalion of ITBP at Sonapur, IG Headquarters for Assam Rifles, new unit at Silchar and Jorhat Centre (Residential and Administrative) Project.
It is known that after this program, Amit Shah went straight to Khanapara field, where NDA Panchayat Representative Conference was organized.
