Holi, the festival of colors, is being celebrated across the country today with traditional enthusiasm and joy. The festival marks the arrival of spring, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, and fosters a spirit of unity and harmony.
It transcends barriers of caste, creed, age, and gender, bringing people together in a vibrant celebration of togetherness, equality, and fraternity. Festivities began with Holika Dahan, observed a day before Holi, signifying the victory of righteousness.
President Droupadi Murmu today greeted countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Holi, the festival of colors. In a social media post, the President said that the festival is a symbol of India’s precious cultural heritage and gives the message of unity, love, and harmony.
Ms. Murmu urged the citizens to come together and take a pledge to fill the lives of all the children of Mother India with the colors of continuous progress, prosperity, and happiness.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today greeted citizens on the auspicious occasion of Holi. In a social media post, Mr. Dhankhar said that Holi marks the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of spring, symbolizing new beginnings and fresh perspectives.
He wished that this Holi serve as a reminder for every citizen to color the thoughts with compassion, actions with kindness, and vision with hope for a great nation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the people on the occasion of Holi as well. In a social media post, he expressed that this festival, filled with joy and happiness, will bring new enthusiasm and energy into everyone’s lives while strengthening the colors of unity among the countrymen.

In Gujarat, the festival of Holi-Dhuleti is being celebrated with great zeal and fervor. Fagani punam festival, Fuldol Utsav are being organised with great pomp at Jagat Mandir of Dwarka, Ranchhoddas Mandir at Dakor and other prominent Shri Krishna temples in the state.
In the most revered Dakor temple, people come by walking to celebrate holi with the god. Akashvani correspondent reports, Amid the slogans, Jay Dwarakadhish, Jay Shri Krishn and Jay Ranchhod, large number of devotees have thronged to Dwaraka, Dakor, Shamalaji and prominent Iskcon and Hare Krishna Temples in the state to take part in Ful Dol utsav and Fagani Punam Utsav on the occasion of Holi.
At the famous Raja Ranchhodrai temple in Dakor, the day began with a Mangala Aarti early in the morning, setting the stage for a day of celebration.
Over in Dwaraka, the festivities are in full swing at the Dwarakashish temple with priests filling the silver Pichkaris with Kusuda water and Abil Gulal to celebrate Holi with the god.
Devotees will also join in the festival of colors, in the noon throwing Abil Gulal in joyous celebration.
People are celebrating the the festival of colours, Holi with much pomp and gaiety across West Bengal. Devotees are participating in the festival at Belur Math in Howrah district.
Gaudiya Math has also organised various rituals like Bhagwat Sabha, Gaur parikrama in Kolkata and and other parts of the state.
ISKCON of Mayapur in Nadia district is celebrating Holi with colourful procession and devotees are thronging at various centres of ISKCON in the state.
Holi is celebrated as Dol – Yatra in the state. People are celebrating Holi with environment friendly Organic Gulal and colours made from various flowers and other bio-degradable sources.
Administration and Police have made all arrangements for peaceful celebration of the festival. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has extended her greetings on the occasion of Holi and Dol Yatra.
In Uttar Pradesh, the joy of Holi is visible across the state from Braj mandal to Ayodhya Dham. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the Bhagwan Nrisinh Vishwa Yatra in Gorakhpur today.
He flagged off the chariot after performing the aarti of Bhagwan Nrisinh and played Holi with the people with gulal.
The Chief Minister mentioned that festivals should be symbols of harmony, peace, and equality.

Different types of Holi including lathmar Holi, phoolon ki Holi, laddu maar Holi is part of the month-long Holi celebration in Mathura-Vrindavan.
Travelers from all over the world are experiencing the rich cultural heritage, vibrant colors and lively environment of holi in Mathura, Vrindavan and Barsana.
In Varanasi and Ayodhya, Gullal was offered to Shri Kashi Vishvanath and Shri Ramlala in the morning. People are celebrating the festival of colours’ with harmony.
High security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order situation in the state. Director General of Police Prashant Kumar informed that police units have been deployed in sensitive locations to maintain communal harmony. Extensive patrolling is underway in high-footfall areas, including festival venues.
