World stands with India on its response to terror

The world is largely standing with India following its decisive air strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, launched in response to the brutal Pahalgam attack that killed 26 Indian civilians. India’s “Operation Sindoor” targeted nine terror infrastructure sites linked to groups responsible for the massacre, emphasizing a focused and measured approach without hitting Pakistani military facilities.

International reactions have acknowledged India’s right to self defense amid escalating tensions. While calls for restraint have come from the UN and several countries, many recognize India’s efforts to dismantle terror networks that threaten regional peace. The strikes have highlighted global concerns over terrorism originating from Pakistani soil and underscored India’s resolve to protect its citizens.Several countries and leaders have expressed understanding or support for India’s position. Israel’s ambassador to India publicly backed India’s right to defend itself, condemning terrorism and affirming that terrorists have no safe haven. Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated that no nation should tolerate terrorist attacks from across its borders and endorsed India’s justified response. The United States and Japan condemned terrorism and urged restraint but recognized India’s concerns.

While calls for calm and dialogue have come from China, France, Russia and the United Nations, these appeals coexist with widespread acknowledgment that India’s actions target terror infrastructure responsible for destabilizing the region. The international community’s response highlights a growing consensus against terrorism emanating from Pakistan and affirms India’s efforts to protect its citizens and sovereignty.

In this critical moment, India’s “Operation Sindoor” has not only struck at terror launchpads but also garnered significant diplomatic backing, underscoring global recognition of India’s security challenges and the legitimacy of its counterterrorism measures.
